Ms Maricel Weischede

NZ Immigration Help Service Ltd

Managing Director

These are the three words that best describe the way I would deal with you in all facets of your migration, education and settlement in New Zealand.

I have been practising as an Immigration Adviser for more than 15 years now. First, as an Advocate, then later on, established NZ Immigration Help Service, an immigration consultancy company in New Zealand and the Philippines.

Prior to my entry to industry, I was a Managing Director for a Marketing Communications Agency. However, when I moved to New Zealand to be reunited with my parents and siblings, I started helping people with their migration problems and acted as their Advocate. Not long enough, the number of people who came multiplied and I found myself doing the migration work full time.

I reckon migration process as brand-building --- you would have to highlight yourself to Immigration New Zealand. INZ should see without doubt why you want to go to NZ and what you are going to contribute to this closely knit and thriving country.

Licensed by the IAA in 2008, she gives a high regard to the licensing of the immigration advice profession. Maricel finished her Bachelor of Laws from the AUT University in Auckland and completed the Bay Of Plenty Polytechnic Graduate Certificate in Immigration Advice, on top of her other qualifications in Immigration Law and Practice from Massey University, Public Relations, Management and Entrepreneurship from the Philippines.

She had served the NZAMI as a Board Director from 2008-2010. Maricel was part of the  (2009) IAA Reference Group and its current membership (2013). She greatly advocates the licensing of overseas student education advisers.

She is also holds education specialist agent status from Education New Zealand and ICEF.

Maricel transitioned from being an immigration adviser to a Solicitor and Barrister of the High Court in New Zealand in 2018.
